May Sharafeddine is a licensed clinical psychologist registered at the Lebanese Order of Psychologists (LOPsy) with over ten years of experience working with adults. She graduated from the Lebanese American University (LAU) and has undergone in depth training in systematic analytical psychotherapy. Currently, she is completing her intensive three-year ISTDP training in the United States, accredited by the Washington School of Psychiatry and the International Experiential Dynamic Therapy Association (IEDTA) (iedta.net).

Intensive Short-Term Dynamic Psychotherapy (ISTDP) is a cutting edge, evidence-based therapeutic approach that focuses on helping clients rapidly access and process unconscious emotional conflicts. ISTDP is highly effective in accelerating therapeutic progress and fostering emotional resilience.

Ms. Sharafeddine specializes in psychoanalytical and psychodynamic approaches, working primarily with individuals experiencing anxiety disorders including generalized anxiety, social anxiety, specific phobias, and health-related anxieties, Obsessive Compulsive Disorders (OCD), as well as mood disorders such as clinical depression and bipolar disorder. She also works with clients with personality disorders.

Her clinical expertise is centered on supporting clients dealing with identity issues and crises, particularly those raised in toxic environments or challenging parental relationships. Ms. Sharafeddine is experienced and passionate about assisting men and women through marital difficulties and the pre- and post-divorce adjustment phases.
